When Love Blooms (2021)

“When Love Blooms” is a 2021 TV movie from Hallmark that is now playing on UP TV.

Ann Keller, a risk management analyst, is seeking to add some creativity back into her life when her father, Tom, has a minor accident. This causes her to return to her hometown of Franklin Heights, which she left years ago to pursue a career in the big city. While there, Ann discovers that her father has been secretly competing in flower arranging competitions and was set to participate in the upcoming ‘Botanic Cup’. To help him out and satisfy her creative desires, Ann decides to participate on her father’s behalf through a loophole in the competition rules. She enlists the help of Aaron Blum, a charming florist who resides in Franklin Heights. Despite their opposing perspectives, Ann and Aaron put their differences aside and work together to qualify for the final round of the competition. Through their time together, they develop a friendship that eventually blossoms into a romance, much like a flower thriving in the right environment.

There are lots of beautiful flowers in this one, with good music. The storyline is predictable but good. It is bright, fun, and upbeat. The movie reflects the changing demographics in an upbeat way with a good match of beautiful people of color with white, black and Asian.
