Here is the news of a price hike in an email from YouTube:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have an important update for our members. After nearly 3 years, we\u2019re adjusting our monthly price from $64.99\/month to $72.99\/month. As content costs have risen and we continue to invest in the quality of our service, we are updating our price to keep bringing you the best possible service.\u200cYour YouTube TV Base Plan membership price will change in your first billing cycle on or after April 18, 2023, and will be charged to your payment method on file going forward. To view your current plan, go to your Settings > Membership page for updated information. If you are currently on a Base Plan promotional price or a trial, that promotion is still honored and unchanged.\u200cWe will also be lowering the price of our 4K Plus add-on from $19.99\/month to $9.99\/month. Users new to 4K Plus are eligible for a $4.99\/month for 12 months promotional offer.* For existing users, if you are on a promotional price below $10\/month, you\u2019ll enjoy that price until the promotional period is over, at which point you\u2019ll automatically receive the new price of $9.99\/month. If you\u2019re currently paying above $9.99\/month, your new price will be $9.99\/month.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hey there! So, as you probably know, cable TV prices have been going up lately, and it’s not just cable – even streaming services like Netflix and Hulu are raising their prices. Now, it looks like YouTube TV is following suit and raising their prices too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, YouTube is expected to announce a price increase, which will affect both new and existing customers. New customers will start paying the higher price from April 6th, while existing customers will see the new price on their next bill after April 18th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, even with the price increase, YouTube TV will still be a more affordable option than traditional cable TV. In fact, a recent report found that the average cable TV package costs over $200 a month, while YouTube TV is currently priced at $72.99 per month. Plus, if you bundle it with a $50 T-Mobile home internet package, it’s still a great deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the reasons for the price increase may be the new features that YouTube TV has added, such as NFL Sunday Ticket and multi-view. And with cable TV and other streaming services also raising their prices, it’s not surprising that YouTube TV is doing the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
