Amazon has been talking about offering home internet for a while now, and it’s finally becoming a reality after getting approval from the FCC. Amazon plans to launch satellites into space to offer internet to 400 million customers over the next few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big question has been what internet speeds Amazon will offer. Now Amazon has announced three different options: a standard version with speeds up to 400 Mbps, a pro version with speeds up to 1 Gbps, and an ultra-portable version for travel with speeds up to 100 Mbps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the price hasn’t been announced yet, but Amazon wants to make it competitive with SpaceX’s Starlink internet service, which costs $90 a month in good coverage markets. Amazon hopes to launch satellites next year after testing some possible models this year.
