CARA’S REVIEW
1 Timothy 4:7 – “Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness.”
Dubbed the horror film of the year and the only premiere this week with a Fresh rating on RT, it’s a surprise that “The Cursed” fell through the marketing cracks. Where has this little horror gem been hiding?
I hadn’t heard of it until yesterday while researching films of the week. Perhaps, its release date occurs too close to its vampiric competitor, “Morbius”, which has received plenty of coverage throughout the year.
When will werewolves and vampires get along?
Unlike the Marvel associated Action-Drama, “The Cursed” brings a serious cautionary tale to the table:
It is vitally important for people not to panic in the midst of disaster. Panic is counter-productive and causes more problems than solutions.
Panic breeds superstition and persecution.
Predictable and straightforward. Still, its a well-crafted period piece with standout horror moments thanks to fresh mythology and a chilling scarecrow thatll haunt your dreams.
Excellent review. Spot on!
